Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen Switch Checklist

The Cessna Citation CJ4 left and right generators are set to the on position already while the aircraft is parked/spawned in cold and dark. The GEN switches should be set to off as the check list asks you to turn them on but they are already on.

The generator switches are normally left in the ON position all the time. The checklist is making sure that you check that they are on.

Would this be normal for an aircraft left on the hard deck cold and dark? Generally want to know because I seem to remember you use to have to click them on before SU5 but could be mistaken!

I can speak for 2 different aircraft where I have heard from real world pilots regarding leaving the generator switches in the ON position. The WorkingTItle CJ4 Disord server has several real world CJ4 pilots who have stated that they never touch the generator switches. They just make sure they are on during cockpit prep. Also, if you look at the actual generator switches, they are very small, unlike the rest of the switches on the electrical panel. From a pure ergonomic perspective, they aren’t designed to be frequently flipped.

The other aircraft I have reliable information on is an F/A-18C. My son flies them and he says they always leave the GEN switches on.

Sounds good! Just for some reason I thought they were suppose to be in the off position during the checklist. Appreciate the feed back!
