even in 2020. this plane was always way too sensitive and twitch for me to fly 1 slight push to left or right side with my joystick would send the plane in to a 360 nose dive no matter what speed or altitude. but its the complete opposite with the cj4 that plane is so easy for me to control but the longitude controls like im using my feet to fly and its impossible for me to fly
That’s odd to me. I enjoy the Longitude. Feels smooth for me. Have my fingers crossed they add it to Career Mode in the near future.
Have you checked your calibration and sensor feedback using Windows USB Game Controller Applet?
I suspect you’ll find your controls might be twitchy due to mis-calibration or potentiometer sensor wear.
If you see twichiness or extreme movement just by slight touch, it’s a controller issue.
its only like this with the longitude. for other planes i have tried they feel ok. and i checked windows settings i have the Logitech 3d extreme pro joystick and my Z rotation is going back and forth by a small amount when i move the “rudder” part of my joystick but when move the joystick left and right i dont see that movement in windows game controller applet but in the game when i just slightly move my Logitech joystick in any direction my airplane yoke is shaking like if it cant tell what my input is or the sensitivity on that just one plane is too much even though every other plane i have tried to fly feels ok
I’m confused. You’re able to see the rudder movement where? If Game Controller Applet isn’t showing it, what else are you using to troubleshoot the joystick input?
I Dont know what to do when the sensitivity is too much for only one plane in both games and what i meant is, i see the axsis on the z rotation move back and forth by a small amount when i move it.
Have you zeroed out any adjustments to your calibration? I would start from a clean baseline on your joystick. No calibration, no custom profiles.
I never changed any settings in the joystick or in the game. because its only with this one plane that is like this and its been like this in 2020 and 2024
Try uninstalling the jet, restart the sim, reinstall it again, restart the sim one more time. That works for 2020 at least
I don’t you can do that because everything is streamed in the game and I have already done that when i switched games because the issue I’m having now is the same I had in 2020. But it’s only with this plane
I thought you were also running it in 2020?
You can sort of delete it in the '24 sim. Check your Packages folder and you’ll see a Streamed folder which caches a lot of often used content based on your use of the sim. The jet may be in there. You can also double-check your control mappings. The ones in '24 have a higher chance of having multiple mappings to the same control - some may step on each other.
I said. I played both games and the planes is just as hard to control in 2020 and 2024 and if the controls were overlapping with each other then I would be having issues with every single plane I flown in the game but it’s only with this one.
Same for me in 2020!
I gotta say, I switched over to SU2 yesterday and have been flying this aircraft in free flight ever since and I’m falling in love with it. I really do hope they add it back to career mode. The thing practically flies itself.
Interesting. I love the 2020 version with the FDE fix from flightsim.to, though it’s not that drastic of a change.
