I thought I would have a go at the Cessna CJ4 in FS20. The default aircraft with no add ons or mods. However when looking for videos or information, I keep seeing reference to Working Titles mod. So do you still need this? Only there was another post here where it said the default plane had been upgraded and the mod was not needed - if so how do I get the updated version please?

No, it is deprecated. Just make sure your base game is updated.
If you are on PC, there is a mod out there that adds Simbrief import.
Ok thanks. Mine does appear to be updated. By the way, is there a second version of this plane? In the content manager it shoes a longitude version, but I dont see that in my hangar.
In 2024 I know there is so possibly it has been ported over to 2020. It might be a MP version or in one of the Editions (can’t recall). I will have a look for you later just in a flight now.
The Longitude is a completely different plane, available as default in one of the premium deluxe editions.
I bought the mid-grade package which didn’t include the Longitude, but it was made available to buy a few months ago. You may have some of the WT aviation parts in your Content Manager, but they do nothing without the base plane. Go into your Marketplace and search for the Longitude. I have it and like it, but I wish it had a walkable cabin instead of just the flight deck. You’ll also want the Invisible Avatars package if you want the exterior view to match the interior, since there’s no way to get the copilot visible inside the flight deck.
Once you have it, go get a couple of extra liveries from the .to site since the default only comes with one rather boring paint.
Ok thank you. That model appears in Content Manager as installed, but is not available in the selection menus. I only have the basic 2020 installed, so I assume it is unlocked if you buy it.
Yes, the Standard version does not have it. You should be able to buy it individually in the MP though. The above poster seems to have done that.
However, think about this, how many of the in sim planes do you like that are in the other upgrades?
If it is quite a few, consider getting the upgrade which might work out cheaper in the long run.
Ok - thank you all. I had not even thought about an upgrade, I assume it is quite an easy process? Ir I do not have to uninstall and then reinstall the whole sim?
No, just go to the place you bought the standard and look for the version you wish to buy and presto, it will update.
Best and safest is wherever you bought the 1st version.
2nd thought here, since 2020 is not going to be supported for too many more years, consider buying the 2024 version.
Premium del unless you like older aircraft, the aviator ed is having the planes all updated slowly.
