Challenge - Bora Bora Mountain Ledge Landing

Nice one TomCat! How many tries? No quicksand?

Thank you for your hint. Only it is the case that I am new and largely “knowledge-free” in terms of downloads, YouTube, etc. But I’m looking forward to using it.

For this I needed 2-3 attempts. Solid ground makes it more predictable. Some quicksand is also there, but has little influence.

YT isn’t the most important, just a bonus and you’ll find so much tutos for it.
For mods and installing instructions, you’ll find (near) all your needs here:

It seems you like bushflights and rough landings like me, so you need real STOL planes made for these exercises, better than standard Asobo Savage Cub.

  • The Grravel, wich is the base of the Obstruction you can see in my vids above but with not so huge wheels. Powerful, very low speed ability but still easy to fly. The real bush plane.

  • I also appreciate the C172 Taildragger, bush mod based on originals C172, available in G1000 version and/or Classic version (for this one you need to have the Asobo’s one first). A (little) bit less bushplane than the Grravel, but faster if you like more long flights and a Cessna in terms of piloting.

With those two planes as bases, and with the skill I’ve seen on your pics, you’ll be ready for hours of great bush flights.

Feel free to ask (even by PM) if you need more infos.
Hope it’ll help.
Voilà, voilà

Hello good PlumbGlue67. Your answer has put me in orbit.
I am not able to express how grateful I am to them.
For the effort, time and work they have invested in it. It helped me a lot. Great thanks for that.
They have provided me with so many answers that I will spend some time on them.
Yes, I love these challenges. With the Premium Deluxe I also have the Shock Ultra. But their grravel is a miracle. I share your enthusiasm.

Ok Ladies and Gents.. I’ve been trying to for two days!.. I have a new challenge.. I’m beside myself
Can someone please show or tell me if this is possible
Location 2, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Brazil 3 miles south of Rio. I believe there is a enough space to land at very very low speed.. however .. winds can be treacherous at 1400+ feet. I’m trying guys.. give me hope!! Can someone accomplish this.. I’ll keep trying!! As you can see.. I almost had it LOL Good luck Mountaineers!

Have to go now, will try this evening (I’m at UTC+2) and tell you

I did many attempts with no succes !
But I think it’s possible at least once (you know, that magic moment when all is chaining perfectly).
Will retry, perhaps tomorrow or next week.

I know.. I’m glad you think it’s possible too.. but make sure you are on live weather.. when the place has wind.. even harder .. today was calm!

TomCat!! let’s give Sugar loaf mountain a try!!! help!!

You up for Sugar loaf mountain in Brazil?

Late today, but I still tried. Got into the trees a bit, but remained unscathed. On the 1st attempt, I was too fast and shattered by the stones behind it. Needs to get some sleep now. When it comes down to time, gladly together. SYOS

Thanks for the flowers. It was night in Rio, so I moved the slider to day(Not really live). Disqualification!!!?

Your great idea must be realized! Are there more of them?
You have the belly up (a gesture of trust?!). :grinning:
I have tried again and can say: It is possible, even before the forest. A small circus number, also in terms of parking and departure.

How much fuel do they have on board?
(with me: about 3 gal. for the test) That makes a huge difference.
Are any automatic functions still active?
This is unlikely but not unthinkable.
Feel free if you have any questions about it.
Good luck

I think all of us will forgive you

For this achievement you win the “Rollo-the-Clown” prize.
Congratulations. :joy:

What are you thinking of the Grravel ?
