If you want to get rid of the default tail number/call sign permanently, just edit the cfg file.

I suggest making a copy of the aircraft cfg file and saving it in the same location, it will append Copy to the end

One thing to note, is when you make the changes in the config file, they will not show up in the ATC pane of the aircraft selection, you have to get in game to hear atc call the correct callsign and see the correct tail number…

FYI: Deluxe / Premium planes don’t seem to have an aircraft.cfg though…

I’ve only got the gamepass standard version, so can’t help beyond that. I know it does work for the standard planes, can’t believe it would be different for additional planes

Has anybody figured out a way to edit the tail number of Deluxe/Premium aircraft yet by any chance? I would like to change the tail number on the steam gauge C172 but I cannot find an aircraft.cfg file for it. Regular G1000 version in the standard package no problem.

find where your planes are installed, with STEAM: “Asobo_C172sp_AS1000”
