When on the 3rd person camera, the zoom functions as it is in first person mode where the zoom changes the FOV(field of view). Instead the zoom should change the distance of the 3rd person camera instead and leave FOV on a separate setting.

In addition to this, the view controls should work similarly to other modes - ie: you need to toggle the mouse button to control the character’s walking direction in 3rd person view.
This would allow footage where a character is walking in a straight line, whilst the camera is able to move around. Great for filming promo footage for the sim.
Holding the right mouse button or toggling the centre mouse button would then control the character’s walking direction immediately to the camera angle as it is currently. That’s how 3rd person character controls work in most games.
