ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
I cannot Duplicate, rename, set as default, delete or apply to all aircraft any of my presets, for any device, without a CTD.

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time…!

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Select CONTROLS
  2. General or Airplanes Controls - i(t doesn’t matter which)
  3. Try to use any change options such as Dupilcate etc

Anyone found a solution for this? I still have this issue after re-install.

Duplicate, rename, set as default, delete, apply, all these functions cause a CTD. Also if i change the profile on some aircraft these will be forgotten every time i restart the sim.

seeing exact same. Created a preset in error and now cannot delete as it causes a CTD everytime

Yes, I did fix it - you have to delete your cloud saves. After this you have to reapply all your control presets, but it’s worth the effort!

The information below is available elsewhere on the forum…

Step 2: Disconnect and Remove Cloud Data

  1. Disconnect your PC from the internet.
  2. Locate and delete the cloud save files.
  • For MS Store users, these files are typically located in:
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs
  • For Steam users, the folder (if it exists) should be in a similar location under:
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\
    and possibly \SystemAppData\wgs
    (If someone with the Steam version can confirm this, it would be appreciated!)
  1. Delete all the contents in the respective folder.

Step 3: Reconnect and Launch the Game

  1. Launch the game while still offline. It should prompt you that an internet connection is required.
  2. At this point, reconnect your internet.
  3. The game should now restart and take you back to the initial setup screen.

I’ve tried all that, but it doesn’t fix the problem. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s probably my CPU that’s going crazy. But thank you very much for your input - it’s appreciated. :slight_smile:
