Does anyone know how to change the navigation source to GPS on the A310? It seems to be stuck on VOR1 even after I do the IRS calibration from the checklist. Please note that this is on XBOX not PC.
You need a flight plan in the CDU.
After selecting the IRS switches to NAV, in the CDU, you must start the IRS alignment by clicking the message displayed at LSK 4R on the INIT page.
Don’t move the aircraft until the alignment is complete.
You must ensure the VOR/NAV/ILS switch above the PFD is in NAV
Press Nav button on AP.
Ensure AP is on.
Here is a link to the real world A310 manual.
Lots of good info there.

I’ve done that. The IRS switches are set to nav. Do I have to make a flight plan in the cdu even though I did it in the over world map again? Does it not import that into the CDU like it does in all the other planes?
No, oddly enough, it does not.
You must enter it manually.
Simbrief is a flight planning app that supports the A310 in xbox, and its generated flight plan can be loaded in the A310 CDU.
There are quite a few posts here on this, you may want to search and get some more info!
I just spent over an hour figuring out how to enter waypoints and what not into the CDU. Not only doesn’t it not work, it doesn’t even create a flight plan to give the ATC at all to follow nor does it change the VOR1 to GPS. It doesn’t even show up on the VFR map either.
