2 CTDs this time, first one I think was the nxi G1000, restart from beginning after 1,5 hours without it, second I forgot to reboot at the fules stop. 3 more hours lost.

Good Day @SeedyL3205
Thank you once again for a great race and organizing such a great event. Hope that we have exceeded the target. Congratulations to all the participants.
I am on XBOX, my logbook attached hereto. Took off from CYQT at 12h00z and arrived at CYYJ at 22h20z.
Thank you
It was a pity that I had to fly also the second Terry Fox flight behind the starting field because of a Windows crash and a M2 Nvme that could no longer be started on friday evening! So buy a new SSD reinstall Windows and install MSFS, took almost 16 hours
However, I had no CTD…maybe it’s because of the reinstallation? And many thanks to Seedy and Gul for this great event once again! <3
Hi everyone,
First of all, thanks to @SeedyL3205 and @FactualGull1036 for this wonderful charity and flying event.
Here is my Stage 2 Xbox Logbook. It took me lots of hours going through the Rockies, I even crashed due to heavy winds in Glacier National Park in Montana. After all, I managed to get Victoria flying through valleys, where I have had nice views and fun.
Also I’d like to point that my registered time for Stage 1 is wrong. It appears as 13:11:38 which is the total time of flight, and it should be 13:58:38. This time takes into account refuels and other delays (started 11h01z and finished 0h57z).
Thanks again!! Looking forward the Cannonball Run and future adventures!!
Hi everyone,
I’ve added all the times submitted so far to the results spreadsheet. Please double check to make sure I didn’t accidentally miss you or logged your time incorrectly.
This is my Stage 2 result:
TL;DR -
Finish in CYYJ
eventTime: 2021-09-13T19:46:24.195Z
type: PARKED
NOTE that is a MONDAY FINISH
https://simair.io/logbook/volleynerd30
Elapsed: 55:46:24
Cub Crafter X Cub
Full disclosure: to allow me to finish today during lunch hour, I had to PAUSE the flight on the way into CYYJ, so I could get to a time when I could land. The sim air logs show flat line fuel usage during that pause time, but I assure you, I was paused and not moving (I wish SimAir showed LAT/LONG data - it is obviously available, it’s what is used for the mapping)
Summary
Real life got in the way this weekend, so I had to piece the legs together a little bit at a time. My goals were (a) get a time that is LESS THAN the default 96 HOURS, and (b) learn and experience along the way. Achieved both!
Got greedy this morning and set off on AP after a daring touch and go at CYCG, dropping into the beautiful river valley from ALT 9000 to 1600. Successful, but then miscalculated the departure, thought I was high enough and put it on AP so I could get back to work … CRASH into the mountain a couple minutes later. Good thing I had that T&G from a few minutes before. Restarted there and flew to CYYJ a few hours later, finishing during work lunch hour.
Learned a lot about the X Cub - I don’t mind it actually. The two complaints are the avionics bugs with DIRECT TO and just the lack of experience with landing the tail dragger. I haven’t outright CRASHED on a landing, but they’re all somewhat dicey.
THANK YOU SeedyL and FactualGull for hosting and organizing!

Thanks for this wonderful events! Great cause, great organisation, great competition, great scenery (the rockies - just wow) - looking forward to the last one this year!
Hi everyone,
This is a reminder that the deadline to submit your Stage 2 completion time is TODAY. I’m currently missing Stage 2 times from six people who completed Stage 1, so be sure I get your time logged correctly if I haven’t already done so. You can validate that I’ve captured your time accurately by checking the Results spreadsheet here:
Also, we will be hosting an event “Closing Ceremonies and Awards Presentation” on my Twitch channel at 8pm ET / 5pm PT / 0000Z tonight. Come join us for some final thoughts about this race, a preview of the next event in the series (Cannonball Run), followed by a multiplayer community group flight. We’ll see you at https://twitch.tv/SeedyL
