Got cleared to land RWY 2 Tuesday night about 2130 PDT. It took three passes to finally get the aircraft on the ground. There are no lights for RWY 2 in the sim. The strip is 100% dark: no threshold, no centerline, no runway lights, no VSI, no rabbit. The only visual guide is the line of blue taxiway lights off to the right side. This is different than real life conditions at Schulz-Sonoma County and, needless to say, night landings at a strip without any lighting is something of a challenge. If you are flying an aircraft not equipped with synthetic vision you’ll truly be flying blind. I’ve flown IFR approaches that are less hairy.
Hey @Seven7Tango - Certainly understand the challenge you faces there. If you know what the real-life lighting configuration is for that specific airport, suggest you file a report with Zendesk and provide them all the support documentation they will need to make the changes. Thanks.
Confirmed missing.
According to the latest FAA chart supplement, runway 14-32 has high-intensity runway lights and runway 02-20 has medium-intensity runway lights.
Also, runways 02, 20, and 14 have PAPI lights that aren’t in the sim. I can see where they’re supposed to be, baked into the ground textures on the airport.
