Hi
Are there other countries that publish the sectionals and all the various airport charts (like IFR procedures for specific runways) like the USA does? I mean they all are available to the public for free it seems in the USA.
I kow about Skyvector but outside the USA its much less useful.
What other countries also make all the airport charts like VFR and IFR procedures and frequencies available to the public for free like the USA does?
I know you can find some charts for some airports by going to the website of the airport like for example in the UK but is there another country where they are as easily to find like in the USA?
Edit: Looks like this webpage is offline for the time being. This looks like a good alternative:
If you are serious about having charts all the time, I can recommend Chartfox as a free option, and Navigraph as a paid option. Chartfox does require a Vatsim account. However, the up-to-date AIRACs and support for the latest AIRAC in SImBrief is an advantage that Navigraph gives, that cannot be understated!
for France individual IFR charts :
1- goto https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/
2 - chose menu “AIP” then “eAIP France”
3- Chose the last AIP (more recent date)
the aip page open
4 - Chose “Partie 3 - Aerodromes (AD)”
5 - select one of the AD2 section and choose your airport to have information and all charts for all IFR procedures about it.
for IFR enroute charts :
do same part 1 to 3, then but instead of choosing “Partie 3…”, choose “Partie 2 En-route (ENR)”
then select section 6 then 6.1 for Low altitude and 6.2 for High altitude chart.
OpenFlightMaps has ICAO charts for most European countries.
OpenAIP has an online map of European airspace here and additional resources on its main page here.
Be advised that the main site is not easy to navigate and it does require a (free) login.
That’s more a time zone thing, forum related. It would have been mid to late evening in Europe when most of these replies were done. Evenings, no matter were in the world, have more folks online, doing fun stuff.
