Cruising over Cheney Stadium, home of the AAA Tacoma Raniers. Happened to catch a sunset on the teams namesake, Mt. Rainier.

I got to see Jose Conseco hit a homer there before he made the majors. So we share some love for the area. While I did all my 120something skyhawk hrs out of KBFI, my absolutely best, stall horn screaming, greasiestic landing was at Tacoma Narrows.
Back a few years I built scenery versions for KTIW and many of my other go to spots like Harvey Field.
Yes! That’s awesome! I got one of my first jobs at KTIW at Sunrise Aviation - fueling cessnas as pipers and cleaning bugs off of wings and windshields (Pledge wood cleaner keeps the leading edges slick so the bugs wipe right off lol) Good times!
