Hello,
I have two questions:
- How do I use the choke on the Zlin Aviation Salvage Cub?
- Presuming I can solve question 1, how do I map/bind the choke in the controller settings?
More details of each one:
- The choke is the black pull knob (that looks like the throttle control in a Cesssna); to the left of the red “hot air” control knob. The throttle is the longer, gray lever to the left of the seat … so I learned something new.
When I push & pull the choke knob, it doesn’t appear to have any effect on the engine-- at least not that I can perceive. No change in RPM’s, no other indications of it being changed.
I even thought on cold & dark starts, that the choke control might be more noticeable with the engine cold, but again no effect. So what’s it doing there, if it doesn’t do anything?
- There is no sub-category in the “Power Management” section specifically on how to map the Choke. I don’t consider mixture to be the same as choke, and besides I already tried moving my mixture control, that I had assigned to my quadrant from another plane, and it doesn’t work.
So how is this done?
Thank you for your time.
