Hello everyone!
I recently starting making MSFS videos, “cinematic style”, and i’m done with my first project now.
I hope you all like it.
I’m a bit late to the game with MSFS, only bought it a couple of months ago.
I did play FSX back in the day (like 10 years ago), and also made a couple of FSX videos back then.
I’m planning on making a lot more MSFS videos so if you’re interested then make sure to subscribe on Youtube and/or follow this topic.
If you like the video then don’t forget to give it a on Youtube, and/or leave a comment.
It would be greatly appreciated.

Very, very, VERY nice! I like the mix of cockpit views and external drone cam views in the different phases of flight, switching between the Cessna and the airliner. Music and cockpit sounds are nicely balanced.
Are you using Freestyle filters or ReShader? Care to share your settings?

Thanks so much for your kind words and subscribing!
I don’t use Freestyle filters or Reshader.
With Freestyle filters you mean those Nvidia filters in Geforce Experience right?
I only learned about those recently, might use those in the future, but for now (while i was already half way with this video project) i chose not to use it because i want to mess around a bit with it first to see if i like it.
And i thought if you made a Nvidia filter setting, it wouldn’t work for all lighting conditions.
For this video all that i did was minor tweaks in the video editing software with regards to brightness/contrast, and desature the colors a little bit.
MSFS can be a little soft/washed out, and oversaturated out of the box.
But i’m sure you can get similar results with those Nvidia filters, for me it was adding a little bit more contrast that especially made certain scenes look quite a bit better.
For your cinematics, I’d continue using filters in post.
For flying, I use Freestyle (in GeForce Experience) and it really enhances the experience.
As for different lighting conditions, I’ve set the filters and changed the sim time, and I see the difference at whatever ‘time’ I’m flying. Dusk may look better than noon, or vice versa depending on the settings I choose. Like any filters, there’s some compromise tweaking to be done.
I have heard that some people experience crashes when using it in MSFS. So far, I have not. I do experience crashes, but those are when I do something stupid in the cockpit.
I’ve actually never had the sim software crash. I feel for folks who have to deal with those.
I’ll post a screenshot of my Freestyle filter settings later today when I go for a flight.
I’ve never installed GeForce Experience in the past (because I don’t use most of its features.) I did this time because I wanted to play around with Freestyle. So far, so good.
I look forward to your future cinematics!

Thank you for this video. It gave me 3 minutes of meditation.

I’ll definitely look into those Freestyle Nvidia filters a bit more.
Maybe for certain things/scenes/time of day it’s a good tool, and in that case sometimes it might be easier/a more convenient tool in the context of content creation, because as i understand there’s quite a lot of sliders to play around with.
With video editing software there’s also a lot you can do, but i’m not sure exactly how much options there are in the Sony Vegas Pro 18 Edit software that i use to make videos, and i’m not a pro with video editing software too.
Luckily i also didn’t have any crashes with MSFS yet, just the stutters can be a challenge in certain situations.
You’re welcome, i’ll try and make it at least 4 minutes of meditation in my next video
I can*t find YMMV, where is it…?
I want to try out your setting…
Many Thanks

I was just about to try your Nvidia freestyle filter settings, and the MSFS crashed on me.
I use the latest Gameready driver, then I will unfortunately continue to fly with HDR, or someone creates it at MS so that will be able to better integrate the reshade. Unfortunately, I do not get the run…
All I can say is that I used DDU to completely uninstall every nVidia driver I’ve tried since 531.29, and then reinstalled 531.29 with GeForce Experience. I believe that’s the best driver overall for this sim.
So far, Freestyle filters have been working perfectly, with no freezes or CTD’s.

It took me a little while longer than i anticipated (just a little ) to finish my second MSFS video, but here it is!
This time showcasing Simworks Studios’ Kodiak 100.
I hope you’ll enjoy the video!
