Cirrus Vision Jet cuts off autopilot at 400ft

As mentioned in Cirrus Vision Jet Cuts off autopilot on approaches

The autopilot is without notification shutting off at 400ft altitude.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Always

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1.Have autopilot on
2. Use automated approach
3.When plane is on glide path, autopilot turns off it self without even a tone.

According to real Vision Jet pilots this shouldn’t happen

I’ve not experienced this. I flew an ILS approach down to 200’ or less yesterday before I manually disengaged the AP and it worked fine.

What type of approach are you flying?

straight from the POH. The vision jet in the sim may not follow these to a T but that behavior seems accurate enough. But I would like to think the real plane at least has a aural warning when this happens

Ironically I think this is the correct behaviour and the bug is that it doesn’t always cut off heh.

Certainly you are not supposed to use it below 400ft or below minimums, as per the POH but I don’t know if the real plane actually prevents activation or auto disengages below these limits.

In any case this isn’t an auto land plane so “suck it up” and fly those last 400 feet lol. This is such a well behaved plane, even I, someone who loves to let planes get almost onto the runway with AP, have no problem landing by hand. Beautiful plane.

Ok so can’t be activated below 400’ but if activated above 400’ will fly you into the ground if you set it to

Tested today and the AP is auto disengaging too early? and there is no audible warning when this happens! If this is what happens in rl then ignore my post.

I do believe it is normal, but something that seems to me not correct is it not producing any alarm sound.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
