Citation Longitude Takeoff with Autothrottle gets Hold/Fail MSFS 2024

While taxiing I click the TO/GA button and the FD goes to TO and the PFD shows green TO for both engines. When taxiing onto the runway, I click the auto throttle and the PFD shows the white TO indicating auto throttle armed. On takeoff, I advance the throttles to takeoff thrust and begin takeoff roll. Around the time I rotate, rather than going to green HOLD, I get red HOLD/FAIL. This is happening consistently. I have watched videos and read threads and think I am following the correct procedure, but there must be something else I am missing. Any help appreciated.

Just check that you are pushing the throttle all the way forward. Mine looked like it was but it wasn’t and I was getting the same issue as you.

I had this happen, but I also think I did not push the throttles fully forward. When it happened, I disabled AT then re-enabled it via the button on the back of the throttle, and it was fine after that.

Will try again to see how it behaves.

My steps are, while lining up for take off:

  • Arm AT
  • Press TO GA
  • Push throttles partially to spool up
  • Push throttles to Take Off

Using Honeycomb Bravo Throttles. I think I was stopping when MFD showed N1% change to green TO, but not pushing full forward. When I pushed full forward, everything good and A/T when to green HOLD. Thanks for the help!

I don’t know If I’m doing things as they should be done, but I don’t press the TO/GA button at all and I have no problems. My sequence is:

  • Arm AT and FLC. NAV also if possible
  • Full throttle
  • After retracting gear, press AP and don’t move throttle for the rest of the flight.

I think the difference you will see is the flight director pitch target. In TO, the flight director will go to 15 deg pitch target.

If FLC is the vertical mode, the FD will set pitch to maintain your target FLC speed setting.
