Citation X MFD question MS2024

Trying to make 2024 work. Found that my MS2020 Citation x setup seems to work for the most part in 2024. I am able to struggle thru loading a Navigraph flight plan and fly (from Ready for Takeoff). It seems that the MFD display compass indication is missing the blue flightplan direction arrow and I can’t seem to push enough buttons correctly to bring it back.

That doesn’t seem to have any data from the FMS as there is no waypoint shown. But we’ll need to see more than just that picture to be sure. Are you sure you have the FMS set up correctly? I’ve have very few issues with the Citation X in 2024. It’s one.of my go to planes currently

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I’m not sure the FMS is set up correctly…LOL! Agree the problem seems to be in the FMS, I’ve got about 500 hours flying the X in FS20 and about 3 hours in 24, just noticed the difference yesterday. The data from the FMS flightplan is present and correct in the FMS, but it’s not sent to the avionics in some strange way. the aircraft follows the flightplan, altitude settings, and descends according to the approach. Something on the internet (it must be true) said the FMS isn’t sync’d, but offered no guidance as to how to sync it…LOL.

Bingo! I had to download it as a MSFS2024 plan from the simbrief flight planner. Then, in EFB import flight plan then import weights. If it wasn’t convoluted and hard to work with, it wouldn’t be MSFS 2024. I wouldn’t ordinarily even be in 2024, but the last Sim update(s) introduced so many hesitations and stutters, I had to try 2024
