The landscape yes… the citys definitiely NO.
FS2024 and not on the SU2 beta, the city update is also not working, I enabled but still no photogrammetry in Honolulu.
And the best… also the planes and gauges which become blurred
I think the underlying data is really good but unfortunately with 2024 and in VR you need to be really really close to see the quality. This was much better in 2020 before.
got the update… wanted to go back to the library.. instant ctd.. well done again Microsoft, you did it again. Every update it’s something else…
Just repeating what has been said, but after downloading, restarting, and making sure it was enabled, Honolulu and Dallas aren’t showing as updated. Well, I barely got off the ground in Dallas before the sim crashed, but it looked old. Honolulu was definitely the old generic buildings. I haven’t visited the other locations yet.
Got the pack from store but its only a few kb?
It seems to me the update went way to fast to install. I just can only see the pack, but it looks to me it’s way too small for this. I doubt it is even working!??
I haven’t checked or compared sizes to past city updates but usually the city updates are pretty small, quick downloads compared to world updates.
it’s streamed so no need to download anything…but not working like everything in FS24 !
You need to download the pack in the marketplace… but it is only 227.65kb..
I cannot see any change in the sim itself, so i dont know..
I’m seeing PG in Honolulu. Like SF, the ports have container cranes that are not weird blobs like other ports.
Some of the buildings around Hilton Hawaiian Village (and elsewhere) look a little odd, like they have night lighting during the day? They look a little hyperreal compared to the surrounding structures/buildings.
I downloaded the update for the main game. I downloaded update for two world updates from the marketplace (world update usa and world update oceania). Then I also downloaded the small update from the marketplace - city update 10 - I dont see any difference lol. And the terrain is still bad (MSFS 2020).
I’m also noting sirens, honking horns and city traffic sounds while flying around with the drone – is this new? because it is seriously cool and gives the entire city scape so much more realism.
I’m really impressed by this update (in 2024). If this is the future, then, wow!
Honolulu is quite nice actually. Large area (complete south coast of the island including some inland parts) Blends very well with the surrounding landscape and I like the colours as well.
But like always not without its flaws. There’s still several areas with horrible water masks like this:
And a large chunk of TIN area is missing at the airport:
And then there’s some moss covered John A. Burns Freeway with strange fake tunnel portals even though the TIN tunnel portals would have worked fine.
And some of the handcrafted POI buildings don’t blend well with the TIN. They are mostly too bright.
Otherwise it’s definitely an improvement.
After Sim and World Updates wait 2 days and everything is normal again.
