City Update I Germany

After City Update I Germany storm and earthquake, although live weather

I only have live weather, set up that way for months

no weather add-ons

Hallo Klaus

Well, i don’t have bigger problems with the CI1 update, but i would like to mention that in Hannover, there are simply too many and too high trees. we are a green city, but i think it’s a bit exaggerated like this.

Greetings!

After an hour of scenic flying over a photorealistic rhine valley between DĂĽsseldorf and Bonn ( thanks Asobo !) i confirm the impression of too many trees .
( we have three in our backyard- in fs its a little wood )
You did it after the italy release .. - please Asobo - change the algorythm for trees just a bit- to add a lot to realism.
This said, i hope, that many of such city -( or better said -region) update will follow- and like to repeat a suggestion that was already made : Could you publish a map of all areas, that allready have photogrammetry ? would be easier for freeware devellopers to add nearby sceneries..and of course make small corrections and improvements ( like on bridges

I thought Hannover looked a little odd Klaus. So many of the buildings are covered up by oversized trees

Great Update for important German cities, for me especially the entire Rhine valley between DĂĽsseldorf and Bonn. Is there any way to improve the often dark, bad looking building textures? For example the Colonia Building in Cologne. Far better in Google Maps or Apple Maps!

Furthermore I also share the opinion of too many/too large trees in the city areas. Like in former photogrammetry updates.

I wonder if photogrammetry areas are build by raw data that is not further processed by algorithms. Obviously, flat surfaces are not flattened. Better results would be easy to achieve here.

Unfortunately, the heights of the water surfaces do not match to photogrammetry data!

“Better results would be easy to achieve here.”..

i really hope so… the glitch with the water bodies , making lakes look like volcanos, bridges that ocassionally just apear as black boxes, and the far too dense -and slightly to high- trees.. these should be not too hard to correct and make such very welcomed potogrammetry updates even more enjoyable .
A job for Asobo or freeware devellopers ?

How is this update only 492 bytes in size?

because its mostly photogrammetry which will only be downloaded live from the cloud when needed. the update data just tells your msfs where to get the pg data

The night lighting looks fine in Cologne, EXCEPT the cathedral, which is probably the most well-known landmark and totally dark.

Good update mostly…PG much improved over early iterations but far too many trees in the city areas. Sightseeing difficult because buildings, courtyards open areas obscured by trees which should not be there at all.

Hello,
I have made an Fix for the Nightlighting, Bridges and Foliage. Mod “Better Cologne”.
There is also a ix for Hannover and Hamburg. I will made mor if i have more time.
Happy Landings!

I have made a Fix for this.. “Better Cologne”

For Bonn there are much too many trees after this update. Thats not how it is in real life. Deinstalled it.

My new Projekt is Frankfurt, but i will take a look at Bonn next Time.
