CJ4 Landing Data Winds Reversed

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: In the FMS for the CJ4, in the landing data page, you have reversed the sign for the winds with respect to their impact on required runway length. They should be entered “from”, as in winds “from” 110. But entering winds of 110/20, for example, extends the length of required runway on the next landing data page for a runway 11 arrival, whereas entering winds of 290/20 reduces the length of required runway.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

This bug happens every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Fly a mission, and enter an ILS approach. Press PERF on the FMS, then go to the approach data. Under the first page, where “winds” should be entered, enter winds from the runway heading at 0, then press “NEXT” and see what runway length is. Go back and enter winds from runway heading at 30 and go back to required field length. You’ll see that it has increased, when it should have decreased (due to the headwind).

YOUR SETTINGS

I’m on Xbox using no additions.

I checked this on SU5 and can confirm. Here are four screenshots.

The first two show a 9kt headwind, landing into RW28 at KCLE. Landing Field Length required is 2937 ft.

Third and fourth image changes to a 9 kt tailwind, and LFL goes down, to 2581 ft. This is opposite of what I would expect.
