CJ4 PFD and MFD too dim

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: The PFD and MFD are too dim in the CJ4 in daytime, compared to the standby instrument that is comparatively brighter and more legible

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Occures everytime in SU4 Career mode (have not checked in free flight)

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start up the avionics

  2. Turn on both the displays and turn their brightness to the max

Yes, I found this post by searching and I ditto the observation. I am an old timer and a physician. You have a very dim display here and I have to zoom in to get things bigger and then I can see. I have no problem with other similar displays like the B-787. Easy fix please. I believe there is a control that does not work.

It’s got something to do with the eye adaptation stuff i suspect

In MSFS 2024, in the CJ4, the MFD and PFD are too dim even when the knobs are turned all the way clockwise. Please make them appear brighter. I’m 76 years old and my eyes aren’t what they used to be.

I would tend to agree the PFD and MFD are not consistent with the other instrument brightness settings. Checking on SU5. I have both PFD and both MFD brightness knobs to max. The standby instrument set to max, with backlighting on. Both CDU’s set to max brightness.

The PFD’s and MFD’s stand out to me as much dimmer than the others.

Yes, this has been a pain for a while, speaking as an old-timer it is worse for us.

  • Fixed - Increased the maximum brightness of all displays (PFDs, MFDs and standby instrument) and made brightness control linear.

I hate to be a pain on this display but flew a long flight today in a group with the CJ4 and there is still a small problem. The magenta line on the MFD for the flight path is basically one pixel wide and does not stand out well… just sayin’
