Clearing a Control Binding in the Toolbar Controls Window Doesn't Reflect the Change in the Controls Listing

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When deleting a control assignment in the in-sim Controls window, the list still indicates the control is bound.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
No

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every Time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Enter a flight
  2. Open the Controls window via the toolbar
  3. Search for a control
  4. Click the gear icon on the right
  5. Click the trash can icon to delete the binding
  6. Click Go Back
  7. Note the binding is still showing as assigned
  8. Click the gear on the right again
  9. Note the binding is not assigned

Ah yes and that should be a separate bug report - I gave it a vote, thanks!

If I remember correctly, I once watched a video, where somebody said the control settings via the toolbar is only for viewing the settings but not for changing the settings on the fly, although I don’t see why that should not be possible? … but is it only for reference or are you suppose to be able to change settings via the toolbar? I am not sure how the developers intended this.

I have consistently used the toolbar Controls window to alter bindings since launch, and did not have this issue until this latest .18 beta.

right, must be a bug then – changing the controller settings via toolbar is much quicker too.
