I would like to know if there’s something about modification for clouds to get better quality texture for my simulator, I have been using all the filters for my settings, but still feel that the clouds are a little strange. I remember one app for X-plane 11 named “xEnviro”, so, I wonder if there’s something similar for MFS2020.
Since when xEnviro has became a reference for good clouds? .
Anyway, to answer your question, nope there is none and I honestly I think they are the best comparing what you would get from any add-one.
X-enviro, in my humble opinion, is one of the longest running bait-and-scams in the FSaddon universe. I’m not 100% thrilled with how clouds look in MSFS, but I’ll take what we have by default over anything any addon for any sim can offer atm. I hope Asobo doesn’t get complacent with the clouds though. I hope they get refined over time.
I wouldn’t say is really a scam, at least for me it makes XP acceptable for my eyes when I switch from MSFS, you know how hard is that when you get used to MSFS .
My biggest issue with it, is the performance, that thing slashes like 50% from my fps.
To be fair both Xenviro and weatherMax or whatever it’s called now use volumetric clouds no textures and support Vulcan. The results are very good. Of course given how good clouds look in msfs it was only a matter of time.
Thanks to my 3090 I don’t suffer from bad FPS, that’s where that 24gig of Vram comes in handy.
