Oh, I thought it may have had something to do with my visual settings. Some weird artifacts are often caused by TAA and other rendering techniques, so I thought this might be the case here.

Let’s hope Asobo fixes it, then!

I don’t get this but then I have a faster gpu. What driver version are you using and have you tried with the latest?

This artifact is inherent to the ray marching technique they’re using to make the clouds. The cloud setting and the weather settings will affect this, but the underlying cause will always be there and visible under certain conditions.

I’m sure Asobo is well aware of it. They’ve been tweaking and fiddling with the clouds with nearly every update, trying to minimize the artifacts while still eking out acceptable performance on the Xbox.
