Brief description of the issue:
Ongoing issue with the sim reverting to clear skies when using live weather. air pressue will load in ok eventually but clouds do not appear unless the weather is set up manually

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Set up flight using A310 or PMDG 737 and startup on apron/gate in cold and dark condition. settings are with llive traffic/onine players or on my own, this makes no difference

Also try resetting connection to online functionality, by going to Settings > General > Data and turn off Online Functionality, then save, then back on, then save, then restart the sim and try again.

Have the same problem.
The World Map at start up does not show any clouds at all.
But In the filter menu of the this “World Map” “Clouds” is on.
When after a while the plane is ready for take off in the new screen, no live weather is possible at all either:
In the weather menu it’s not possible to switch to “Live Weather” , - the button bounces back to the left side.In the menu of the same input screen I can’t select “Live Weather”, the other items are selectable, but I did not try out the soaring items yet.
METAR is not available.
It does not matter whether the community folder is loaded or not.

EDIT: The “problem” is resolved for me.
In “GENERAL OPTIONS” - “DATA” - “DATA CONNECTION” the ONLINE ACTIVITY switch was OFF. With this switch on (again ?) and a restart, the real weather is available again,at least for me.
I saw that with the topic author the ONLINE ACTIVITY is shown as ON .

Only just got back onto the sim after a very busy few days, and yes, I went through everything incluing the Ipv6 settings (all off) with no luck.
Wierdly enough, I’m currentlly sitting on stand at EBBR: the global map didnt show clouds when I was setting up, the flight was showing heavy rain at EBBR while loading up, the weather is being reported over the radio as heavy rain, METAR in the sim is saying broken clouds and the sim itself is showing clear skies…
By clear skies I mean completely devoid of clouds. Nothing.
I’m now pretty much of the opinion that the live weather simply broken (or at least is very hit and miss as it occasionally works, but mostly doesnt) so will just setup this manually until such time as I can either re-install the sim or somewhere along the line it fixes itself.
