After update 7 the cockpit free look changed. When pressing the assigned button it will act as long as you keep the assignment pressed. I.e. right mouse button. Before the update 7 you could use the free look without keeping the assignment pressed and keeps activated until you press the button again… can I go back to this configuration? Been trying all day… Thanks!

I have (i think) the same in the external look. When i swirl around the plane it stops halfway and when i stop pressing the button on the joystick or the key on the keyboard it turns back in ‘neutral’ . Hold and toggle doesn’t matter…

I have quite severe problems with free look me too, unfortunately.
Some of us noticed the problem since the X-Box update (PC user here).
The problem was a complete loss of control of the plane every time free-look was used holding the mouse right button.
The workaround was to change from HOLD to TOGGLE in the free-look camera options.
A bit annoying but it worked.
Not only the problem is still there, now changing from TOGGLE to HOLD doesn’t produce any effect: the free-look remains in TOGGLE MODE.
Well, I’m being unfair here. They fixed the problem with holding the free-look mode, making it impossible to use the HOLD option. This is thinking out of the box… Well done…
Also: the zoom reset back to default every time you toggle the free-look mode.
Even worst than this, in some pilot views, when scrolling from CLOSE to WIDE to LANDING, and trying to use free-look at the same time, the sim freezes and a reboot is the only way to go.
I literally can’t use the sim this way. I need to look around to fly. Also, I need the sim not to crash literally always.
Experiencing this issue as well. It’s a very, very annoying change to the free-look functionality. I’ve also had one crash related to free-look and scrolling too.
This often causes the landing gear to deploy on my setup.
