This bug is still present in 1.7.17.0

It’s happening to me too in SU4

Game breaking bug exists still for 1,5 year… :face_with_peeking_eye::shushing_face:

Asobo has a habit of breaking the UI and then making us wait one or two sim updates to fix the regressions, which is why everyone should be voting for this thread, otherwise it’ll just keep happening.

Confirm for me as well, camera mode set to Legacy. Very annoying!!

Hi folks,

This should now be resolved in the latest beta build (1.7.21.0) released just now. Please test this out and confirm it’s working properly.

  • Following community feedback, fixed an issue when, if the cockpit interface is set to legacy with visual indicators off, the visual indicators could appear anyway.

Thanks,

Fixed for me.

Does this work for Xbox also?

If you are referring to this issue Cannot select "Legacy" Cockpit Interaction - Reverts to "Lock" (Xbox+Playstation) for Xbox then no, the fix mentioned here is for a different issue for PC users using the legacy mode.

Yes, it now works as expected for me in the latest beta build. No more blue highlights visible in legacy mode.

yes fixed in 1.7.21.0 Good job

The Issue is the same on XBOX/PS: blue highlights triggers in cockpit - the source of issue is other though: the LEGACY reverts to LOCK. :person_facepalming:

Unfortunately, the problem is worse than before, let me explain. It used to be random, and you’d know when it appeared because, in legacy mode, you’d see blue around the controls, but it wasn’t always the case. Now, the controls no longer have blue around them, but the problem (which also affects performance, causing random stuttering) is now constantly present. I recommend a very easy test: open the camera window and try moving it on the screen. You’ll see that it won’t move smoothly, but will jerk. This also happened in previous builds, along with the blue around the controls. When the blue wasn’t there, the movement was very smooth. Now it’s constantly jerky. Give it a try. It’s also a big problem because it causes terrible performance, especially in demanding scenarios and with add-on aircraft, like pmdg and others.

I would suggest caution before assuming a causal relationship. I think it always behooves us to keep the old “correlation is not causation” adage in mind.

Hey folks,

I’ve read through all of your recent comments regarding the changes made and how these are impacting your gameplay. I’ve reached out to the Development Team to make them aware of this. We may keep this thread open to continue the reports here or split it into a new thread just to keep things tracked easier from our side of things!

If there’s any other pertinent information or examples that you can show, this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks as always,

The MSFS Team
