Cockpit panel selection

When choosing an aircraft in the sim, you can select a livery but this one comes with only one cockpit panel configuration.

Many GA aircraft have an instrument hot swapping to select, for example, the GPS instrument (ex GNS530/GTN750). This works fine but has some limitations, especially with the new WT generation of instruments like the G3X which may be configured with an external navigator/GPS.

The requirement is to add a new panel selection after choosing an aircraft livery in the sim world map.

The panel.cfg file could then have several sections. Each section contains a cockpit panel gauge definitions and a flag telling if the config works on PC and/or xbox.
The panel.xml should also be modified to allow the different panel configurations.

This feature will avoid hot-swapping and additional packages.

That could also enable Asobo to implement the DC-3 properly instead of spamming liveries. The manual on the official site at least used to refer to hot-swap capability well after release, but then I suppose they couldn’t make it work :joy:

I think this is great idea. However, I think it could go further. One issue with aircraft selection is how many aircraft appear in the main window. Thanks to addons, both free and payware, I have 4 or 5 different Cessna 172s for example. What would be cool is if we had one entry for a 172, that then had variants, and from variants to liveries.
