CoherentGTCore.dll causing crashing constantly

this is for pc users on #msfs2024.

I beg of you please help me find the issue with the random crashes that can occur at any time.
ill leave the crash report then my pc stats below. ive tried many different examples given in these forums even a complete reboot of pc to factory settings!!!

For over a month I read dozens and dozens of post relating to CTD’s caused by CoherentGTCore.dll and CoherentUIGT.dll but none have a definate fix most offer the same so called fixes but none seem to work Is Asobo going to fix this problem as there are many hundreds if not thousands suffering this problem. I’ve tried all the so called fixes is there a fix out there?

Same here. Are they even aware?

Did you analyze the events around the crash in the Windows Event Log? Maybe you can find a reason for the crashes. Please note: you have to analyse all Windows Logs, so using a tool like the FullEventLogViewer is helpfull.

After a clean install, I’m now getting an error I’ve never seen: CoherentGTJS.dll. I read a few post about it with none providing any real solution. I had two crashes since the clean install. The first on descent of a 3hr 45min flight (MMMX-KLAX). The second ocurred 40 mins from my destination at cruz (EGLL-KLAX) and nearly 11hrs of flying .I’ve used drivers 581.57, which appeared unstable and now currently back to 581.47, which incidentally worked well before until now. I’m understanding a new windows update could also be the culprit (KB5066835) (26200.6899). I have it installed as of 10/14/2025 and wonder if I should uninstall it??? I’ve also had way better luck with 576.88 and considering rolling back to that also. Any suggestions.

i7-14700K, 7200 DDR 5
Gigabyte Z790 AORUS Elite MB

Runs Windows 11 and apps fine at 7200.
Will not run FS2024 at any memory speed above 6400.

Due to:
CPU memory controller
G.skill memory
motherboard

Try setting the BIOS to defaults and see if that helps.

I’ve been getting the same crash related to CoherentGTJS.dll in the past couple of weeks. Ever since the initial release of the sim I’ve been running relatively CTD-free but things are getting out of hand as of recently.

I tried restoring the previous NVIDIA driver and that worked for a couple flights but now it’s been happening again, just had a CTD after around 9 hours.

I have a 13700k and 4070 Ti

Same thing has been happening to me over the last couple of weeks

Thanks. I updated my BIOS and reinstalled windows and FS2024. That error is gone but I was still having other crashes related to 0xc0000005. I’m currently testing FS2024 SU4 beta, but no better luck. Performance is better, but most errors still remain.

I would do the in-place Windows 11 reinstall.
See if that helps.

Settings, Systems, Recovery, and Fix problems using Windows Update.
Took me around 40 minutes to do it.

I might try that. However, I’ve considered your other suggestion…reducing ram speed, which I did. I’m all the way down to 6000MHZ on my memory using XMP. I had to manually adjust the timings though to match similar gskill 6000. SO far so good. I ran a few bench marks for both CPU and GPU and it looks promising. If all else fails, Ill try the latter option.

Well I’m pleased to report that since reducing ram speed from 6800 down to 6000, I’ve had zero crashes. I haven’t seen any 0x00000005 or other errors whatsoever. Im convinced now, that this is the fix I’ve been waiting for.

From Copilot if it helps:

CoherentGTJS.dll is a core library used by Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) to render and manage its in‑game user interface (UI), particularly the HTML/JavaScript‑based menus, panels, and cockpit displays. When this DLL fails, it often causes crashes to desktop (CTDs) because the simulator relies on it to handle interactive UI elements like navigation panels, ATC windows, and avionics overlays.

Detailed Explanation
• Purpose of CoherentGTJS.dll
• It belongs to the Coherent GT middleware, a framework that allows games to embed web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) into their UI.
• In MSFS, this DLL acts as the bridge between the simulator engine and the UI layer, enabling dynamic cockpit instruments, menus, and overlays to be rendered using web standards.
• Without it, the simulator cannot properly display or interact with many of its graphical panels.

Why it causes CTDs
• Many users report that when MSFS crashes, the faulting module is CoherentGTJS.dll.
• Crashes usually occur during loading screens, avionics initialization, or descent/approach phases, when UI elements are heavily used.

Common triggers include:
• Conflicts with third‑party add‑ons (especially aircraft with custom avionics).
• Memory management issues (virtual memory exhaustion).
• Simulator updates introducing incompatibilities.

Error Characteristics
• The crash log often shows or tied to CoherentGTJS.dll.
• The DLL itself is versioned as in many reports, which can make debugging harder.

Fixes and Workarounds
• Empty the Community Folder: Removing add‑ons can help isolate conflicts.
• Increase virtual memory: Some users report fewer CTDs after adjusting Windows paging file size.
• Reinstall or repair MSFS: Though tedious, this can replace corrupted DLLs.
• System stability checks: Since DLL errors can also stem from irregular system settings, ensuring Windows updates and drivers are current may help.

I haven’t had a crash for months now either, and I haven’t done anything, so you haven’t proved anything by altering ram speed.

It is a known fact that RAM speed settings above what the PC hardware is capable of will cause CTDs or blue screens.

My PC with 7200 MT/s DDR5 RAM will only run FS2024 at 5600 MT/s without error.

Problems can be caused by the Memory itself, motherboard, or the CPU memory controller.

QVL status does not guarantee that the memory will work at XMP speed on a users PC.
It only means that the manufacturer has seen the memory work at the stated XMP speed with the manufacturers hardware.

It was a recommendation from another user and one that I’ve seen in various FS forums, with all suggesting reducing ram speed.I didn’t want to beleive it either which is why it took me so long to try it.
