When tuning in the ATIS on COM 2, the transmission does not stop when I deselect COM 2.
This works fine in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 1.4.20.0.
Tested on Asobo C172 steam, Carenado Archer II and Just Flight Warrior II.
Steps
- Tune in ATIS on COM 2
- Switch On COM2 (audio panel)
- ATIS transmits on COM 2
- Switch Off COM 2 (audio panel)
MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 1.4.20.0 → transmissions stops immediately.
Switching frequencies. Transmission stops immediately.
SU3 Beta 1.5.21.0 → transmission stops when ATIS completes.
Switching frequencies. Same behavior.

• Tested with the C172 G1000 and same issue with COM 2 as reported in OP. Performing same test with COM 1, ATIS transmission stops immediately upon switching to another frequency

ISSUE DESCRIPTION
When tuning in the ATIS on COM2, the transmission does not stop when switch OFF COM2. As if the “play ATIS” plays until the end of the full message. In real world, you may listen one or two times the message, and very often you cut OFF COM2 when you grab everything and most of the times it’s not at the end of the message.

Before the end of the ATIS message, Switch OFF COM2 then the ATIS message continues playing.

Experiencing same issue on SR22.
Issue still exists in Beta SU4 1.6.23.0 9 Nov 2025.
I checked subj functionality during flight tonight and although things seemed to improve post SU4, this BUG is still present as described by Topic Author.
Still an issue in SU6 Beta
Update: Great progress has been made with release of SU6 such as COMM panel status indication (visibility of upside down triangle), unfortunately COMM2 ATIS bug is still there.
