Comments on the FlightSim Studio E-Jets

I am toying with the idea of buying one of the Flight Sim Studio E-Jets. Recommendations, comments anyone?

I have had the 170/175 since it came out. Just recently bought the 190/195. Just wanted to help them out. The plane has advanced quite a bit and I fly it more than any other liner I have which include 737-7, BAE146 pro, Fokker F28, CRJā€™s and A-320ā€™s. Itā€™s fast to get going, flies great and sounds are awesome. The custom FMS is scheduled to come out soon (they stated summer). I have a little over 3000 hours in the sim and I can get around the nuances most planes have. And they ALL have some.
If you like to fly in AP with VNAV to the IAF you wonā€™t like it. Wait till the custom FMS is complete. If you donā€™t mind using HDG now and then or calculating your own descent requirements you will love this. Itā€™s that cut and dry.

I just have the e190/5. Honestly itā€™s very nice as is, and I was a sceptic previously. Really nice flight model, great to hand fly, and the new fmc & vnav is due this year sometime (beta of it this summer they previously said). You donā€™t need VNAV to fly it though. Just fly it in speed mode on climbs and v/s on descents, and work out your own TOD. I have flown it a lot. It is very easy to get the hang of and is one of the faster airliners to start up. For example, all the generator switches are automated etc.
You usually have to use HDG mode to intercept localiser, but thatā€™s not really a big issue for me.
Itā€™s honestly worth flying it now, very reliable and apart from a rudimentary FMC itā€™s a lot of fun for regional hops. Currently getting an update every 4-6 weeks too.

Ahh this is a great jet all I can say . Nothing but fun with this plane and the fleet as well as the updates that come around with it . Very good and highly recommended.

After people were coming after it for not being in the best state. I waned to give them a try because all aircraft and the Game can use updates all the time. Iā€™m very happy that I did because I love this aircraft and I fly it a lot.
And I am sure you will too.
P.S. Needs a little work on sound for me tho. :yum:

I just bought the E170/175 a couple of days ago and Iā€™m happy with it. True, itā€™s incomplete, but they advertise that clearly. I have a Honeycomb throttle and Iā€™m trying to make it work through Axis and Ohs right now. Out of the box (so to speak) if you happen to have a Honeycomb, the throttle, landing gear, flaps, and speed brakes work but I havenā€™t gotten the AP/ALT/VS/HDG/IAS switch or buttons to work yet.

Granted Iā€™ve done like three flights maybe, but assuming they continue development on it, Iā€™d say itā€™s a good buy for me.

Been having a blast with the Ejet. I have the 170/5 as well, as there are several of them throughout the US and Canada. the 190 in europa.

Could anyone kindly advise whether the performance has improved in recent patches?

I remember from release it was one of the ā€œheaviestā€ add-ons around due to poorly optimized PFD and MFD screens.

I never had any issue with it. With either my 9700k 2070 super , or my 11700 4080 super systems. In vr either.

Itā€™s really coming along, itā€™s in my regular airliner rotation.

Will add my recommendations, i do love flying it my two gripes is txt can be hard to read on PFD and Ap controls a little fiddly for mouse

I am in the same boat, but I am waiting until they finish the FMC. I want a plane that works like the real one, not using Asobo systems. Hopefully the upcoming update will bring it to Fenix/PMDG level.

Many thanks for all the helpful advice.

Itā€™s still heavy and not optimised yet from what I understand. The best workaround is to turn down the co-pilot MFD//PFD via the brightness knobs until they are ā€˜offā€™. You can fly the E series from the copilot side so I think thatā€™s why they are all individually controlled screens.
I have a 5950/3090 and find the E series to be fine but I do turn those screens down.

today you can also turn off the screen via this module:

Not a good news for those who hoped that the first public version of custom FMS/VNAV will be available this Summer. It wonā€™t.
