Second time this happens.
I have FS2020 on C drive and FS2024 on D drive.
I have a bunch of stuff in my fs2020 community folder. When I activate my 2020 stuff in 2024, my FS2020 community folder is wiped.
This morning I tried to use FS2020 and said I needed an update (?) I paused the update to make a backup of the community folder but couldnt because “files were in use”. So, no Community Folder backup. Its wiped again.
What am I doing wrong?
Use add-on linker and never have this problem again.
Odd. I have both fs20 and fs24 sharing a community folder. Makes life easy for me

As I mentioned, I have 2020 and 2024 in separate drives
Point the location of the Packages folder in the UserCfg.opt file in each sim to the same folder.
If you are thinking of going that route, you need to combine the One Store folders from each sim as well.
I did it with the slightly more complicated symbolic link.. don’t know why I didn’t think of user config. My package folder has always been in custom locations
Downloaded the Add-On-Linker but I dont see an option for my FS2020 Community Folder. I only see one for the FS2024 community Folder. What am I missing?
Did you use the right version? I’m sure I have two different programs installed for both sims, but according to the description there are two different executables in the download. So whatever it is, you have to start the correct version for your sim.
