As a SQA analyst/engineer for dacades, I always wanted to do some dev work on whatever the latest development fad was. With at least some knowledge of how the code goes together, (like a diamond cutter knowing where the cleavage planes are), I have a better insight on how to break it.
Nowadays, I’m learning how to program Pi powered robots - and no, it’s not as easy as the ads say it is! 
The engineers there love me testing their pre-release code as I find interesting ways to make it do “interesting” things - before it gets into the hands of a bunch of school children!
