Confused with NXCub fuel level indicators

This has been puzzling me for a while now. In the CubCrafters NXCub the two fuel level indicators consist of tubes showing the fuel level. Left and right of the tubes are markings Usable fuel 3 point gallons(US). The text is the same left and right of the tubes but from 20 gallons the markings are offset by about 5 gallons.
Two questions: what does 3 point mean, and why the offsets?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is a dumb question.

I think the two markings are to be used at different times. One is for when the plane is level in flight. The other is when the plane is not level and sitting on the ground. Think tail draggers sitting at an angle, changing the way the fuel level appears.

I’m not sure how correctly simulated it is. Not sure if anyone ever checked

Makes sense. I suppose then 3 point refers to the 3 wheels :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
