Connection error/Menu warning

Today again, same issue, server not available - when will this be fixed?

 now my fresh FS2020 installation updated to WU3: UK. But why? What was the solution?

I don’t really know because I tried so much again and again and again.

The last thing I did before the update started to download was to logg off my Microsoft account from all possible apps (xbox, xbox life companion, ms store, edge browser, etc.). On the next FS2020 start the Xbox Login prompt appeared, I clicked on “Log in” and after that the update circle started turning and the FS2020 update window with the release notes appeared. After downloading 72GB I was able to access the marketplace again and download 4GB more of UK scnenery.

Hopefully this never happens again, I invested more than 12h in troubleshooting and re-installation tasks.

Same here. Connection is terminated after 5 minutes of playing and the worst of it is that it takes the rest of the computer with it. No problem with the computer itself or the internet connection. From what I can see MSFS is crashing the ethernet/wireless adapters. Only after computer resrat I can regain internet connectivity.

By recording the screen while these error messages appear, I discovered the following:

For a fraction of a second the following error message is shown and immediately removed by the FS demo screen:

“This XBox Live Account is already used with another Steam account on Microsoft Flight Simulator. You will not have access to online services until this issue is resolved. Please contact support for help.”

That expains my problem, I just set up a new Windows gaming PC.

This is the typical BrainF*ck we all now Micro$hit for and which they consistently have held up for lots of decades and lines in with tons of similar issues


  • Why am I allowed to play my license of Flight sim only on one singular computer? Me and both my sons share two gaming PCs, so I want to be able and have to use FS on both PCs.

  • Why is this error message not shown immediately?

  • Why is it covered shortly after beeing shown?

  • Why do I have to launch the other PC to log off out of the MS-account?

  • Why do I have to download 3.5GB of updates only to log off?

  • Why do I have to confirm that download by mouse click if there isn’t another option? (Often I fired up FS, left the PC, because the launch takes allways some time, only to find this software waiting for this dumb mouse click and letting me in return wait for another 15mins until all updates are downloaded)

  • What if that computer hadn’t been available anymore?

  • If they are that strict on that licenses, why don’t they provide a license manager, where I can see and manage which license is being used on which PC?

  • Why does this company still exist? Doesn’t captialism teach us, that a company with that horrific service is supposed to perish?

Needless to say: the problem is still not fixed, even though I logged off from the other PC’s account.

Azebo is doing a magnificent job with their FS, but they really messed up when they decided to partner up with MS. They should have gone for google, which have a way better global map compared to bing, cf. google earth. That would have been awesome.

log-out your x-box and ms srore account, reboot, log-in and start sim

It’s ridiculous that it can’t reconnect without a full restart of the sim.
