Thanks, so at least I’m assured that this is not a problem with my new gpu. Stress and benchmarks test are OK. One thing I did see in Techpowerup, I reinstalled directx 12.2. It didn’t clear the flickering, but seems less apparent. Mostly blinks scrolling cockpit views. I guess we live with it for now until we can get a definitive fix.
Never assume it is your hardware the cause of these things. It’s the sim that needs fixing. Especially when you are in a beta.
Having the same issues, aggressively on the Fenix in all views. This is only something I’ve noticed very recently but today has been particularly bad. I have a 9800X3d and RTX 5090, I use TAA and DLSS Frame Gen - flickering visible in all x2, x3 & x4 Frame Gen. I have also had 4 CTD tonight using the fenix. Possibly linked??
I do not see any flickering at all. I’m using a 7900XTX in VR. Is there anyone with an AMD GPU experiencing this?
Same issue , just started with the latest build. more prevalent in different aircraft and certain views. Also get it at the main menu.
It’s quite bad in the ini a300 . But the fact I can see it at the main menus when building a flight says it’s not just Aircraft related .
Changed absolutely nothing in my settings from prior builds.
DLAA + Nvidia frame gen X2
4070ti super .
The same here.TAA+Nvidia frame gen X2,14700kf+4080s.
Is it possible this has something to do with a low frame rate and frame gen/DLSS/anti aliasing? Like for me, I lock at 22 (44 FG), and I have really bad flickering. I wonder if people who are getting much higher native frames don’t have the issue as much. Could also explain why some people are only experiencing it in VR, or in clouds, or on the ground at third party airports?
Then again, higher frame rate might also be correlated with something else that is the true reason some people aren’t seeing flickering, like more efficient hardware or something
I noticed that this only occurs in the shadows. In cloudy weather, it occurs across the entire screen, as everything is in the shadow of the clouds. If you set it to sunny weather, you’ll notice that the problem only affects the areas where the shadows are cast in the scene.
This started for me on Tuesday…just found out they rolled out an SU4 update on Tuesday. I uninstalled SU4 (went back to SU3) and it went away. I’m on a 4080 btw.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Since updating to SU4 Beta .13, I have observed intermittent screen flickering that affects the entire simulator display. This occurs randomly and is not limited to a specific aircraft or airport. The issue has also been noticed by several streamers, so it appears to be more widespread.
In addition, there is visible texture flickering on buildings and ground objects at certain airports, as well as inside the cockpit and in external views. None of these issues were present in version .11, where visual stability was significantly better.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Intermittent – occurs randomly during flights, both in cockpit and external camera views.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Start a flight at any airport and observe the simulator screen during taxi, takeoff, or camera movement.
Flickering may appear on the entire display or on specific textures such as airport buildings, cockpit panels, or aircraft surfaces.

MEDIA
Yes it is indeed an SU4 Beta.13 issue that was not on .11 and as you said is not on buggy “stabel” SU3. So it needs to fixed asap.
Yes that is what i found out as well. The Performance is still great but there is mor stuttering when panning than the latest build!
Same problem here with a 5070ti. Played around with all the graphics & display settings, installed previous nVidia drivers and even reinstalled the Beta. No luck. Last update broke it and I hope they can manage to fix it soon, as the Beta is now pretty much unplayable for me.
same thing here, 9800x3d, rtx 4090, TAA+frame gen dlss 2x
This may be related to the angle from the center of the viewport. I get this in VR on the copilot screens, but if I translate over to his seat, the flickering stops.
I think I may have found a temporary solution, for nVidia cards (which I believe might be the only ones affected?). Installing the old nVidia 577.0 driver completely fixed the problem for me.
The following is what I did to verify (for me) that it actually did fix the problem. Throughout my tests I used exactly the same MSFS settings, which are a mix of high and ultra, as well as TAA and 2xFG with FPS locked at 40, though from my previous tests it didn’t seem to matter anyways what the settings are. I also used the same airports and plane (Fenix) and tested it with different weather and lighting conditions, especially cloudy conditions.
I went ahead and used DDU in Safe Mode for a clean install of 577.0 (I randomly chose it, as I thought it’s an older version, yet not too old). Of course, I always restarted my PC after every install/uninstall.
Booted up MSFS, and to my surprise absolutely no problems. Tested different airports, lighting, weather, inside view, outside view, free cam. Nothing, no flickering.
I then again used DDU to install the latest nVidia drivers, because maybe a clean install would fix it.
But again, the same constant flickering. No change at all.
So, back to step 1 and installed 577.0 again, ran the same tests (in fact, I still have MSFS open), and absolutely no problems. No flickering, nothing. Everything works.
TL;DR
A fresh and clean install of Driver Version 577.0 solved the flickering for me. I do not know if any more recent versions might work, as honestly I am way too lazy and lack time to try every driver that was released since.
Maybe others can try and see if it solves the flickering for them too. I hope it does, until either Asobo or nVidia can fix it for good in an update.
That’s could explain why I wasn’t able to reproduce it (and I currently can’t switch to the newest drivers, having issues with other softwares with it), and without Nvidia App
Well i still belive that there must be an fix from Asobo. Because I havent had this issue with the last Beta and didnt change my driver. Why should it be an Nvidea fix needed. But thank you for repoting this!
Still stutters when panning views, and now also some weird slight lighting flickering. TAA no framegen. no mods.
