I am finishing the flight model and tuning the engine behavior for the Super Stearman on behalf of Golden Age Simulations.
Just one thing that is important: the Super Stearman is equipped with a 9-cylinders Pratt & Whitney R-985 and the Canso has a very similar engine type : a R-1380 which is in fact 2 rows of 7 cylinders. So all the tips and tricks I discover about the current project for GAS are elements that I use to refine with great accuracy the behavior of the engines of Canso.
PS: The Pratt & WhitneyR-1380 Twin Wasp is also the engine of the Grumman F4F Wildcat.
Some tips/modifications that I found and coded are already reported on the Canso PBY-5A which is moving seriously. I wouldnāt list the changes, but Canso is slowly building up.
If you want more information or screenshots I have open a topic here: Aircrafts from SAGQ : Canadair CL-215T and Canso PBY-5A
My last update has be maded in August 23.
I remind you that a freeware does not obey the same rules as a payware so be patient.
Not at this time. As @LagaffeVFR5476 noted above, he couldnāt get his old server company to fix their issue (the site was inaccessible), so he left them and is finding a new server company. Itās probably going to be a while.
To answer to the question of download link, I have bring an answer here:
As for the last version I published, it was v0.8.0 in June/July 2023.
I am sorry for the disruptions caused by the disappearance of my site but these events are beyond my control. Itās already a week that my site is no longer reachable and despite the twenty letters to the Support, they have not done anything.
As a last check, I just did a test on my URL and miracle: it works again.
Nevertheless, these events have shown me that it becomes urgent for me to change my host. It is quite possible that I buy a hosting elsewhere and a domain name so as to be autonomous and have real support in case of difficulties.
Therefore, despite the 11 years of maintaining frenchvfr and the 3 million visitors to date, you will have to get used to another name in the near futureā¦which I am defining at this moment.
The first thing I will do is to save my entire site;-)
