Constant CTD every flight now (ntdll.dll)

Wow, 600 hundres posts in a copule of day.
The same is happening to me, CTD every flight.

If it helps, this is what I did on today’s live stream after a CTD

Go to the sim settings menu → General → Data

Find the option Online Services and turn it Off. It’ll disable everything - multiplayer, photogrammetry, live weather.

Today, for the first time in quite a few days I was able to complete a full flight without a CTD.

The sim did look reminiscent of FS2004 though :sweat_smile:


I’m pretty sure it was a remark, aimed at the Franco-European way of living and work balancing. Don’t let it get to you. :wink:

No updates for me since 12th of August apart from Defender. Also did not perform any windows store app updates (doing them manually) for a month.
Still CTD with ntdll.dll.

since friday the error messages about this error (MSFS Application Error - memory could not be read) are also piling up

ROFL! Might aswell go back to FSX then till they fix this.


That’s because not everyone works Monday to Friday 9-5

So not a worthwhile fix then and pointless trying to fly with it off then :slight_smile:

Good idea though to eliminate the guilty party though, off to do an overnight long haul with no data services and clear skies all round lol! Lets see…

Erm where did the community member say anything if the sort they didn’t say when the developers would fix it stop making false claims

I had a server disconnect and reconnect about 1 hour ago. No CTD since then.

test it before you do. Switching off online services didn’t work for everyone.

This could be the case. On Friday after purchasing the V35 I switched to flying over UK which I hadnt flown to in a while. Several CTDs, but none today with V35.
The V35 CTDs didnt generate a event log at all strangely.

Tonight I switched to 737 and was flying Ireland->Poland. None pre cached as I haven’t flown there in ages. 1hr in approaching Amsterdam and CTD with ntdll.dll error.

So could possibly be Azure terrain access issue.

Is this one of those IT issues where we have to wait till the staff member starts their shift on Monday and press the turbo button in the server room and it will be fixed ? :slight_smile:

I don’t use Windows Defender, I didn’t have any windows update, still I got two different kind of crashes today which I never had: ntdll.dll and 0xc0000005


Crash for me too (ntdll.dll) or the sim just hangs, not every flight tho.

I’ve never had CTDs since the release.
The last two flights i have two CTDs with ntdll.dll.

My Windows Defender is ON didnt think about that should we have this OFF then when we fly at our own risk ?

Just completed 3 flights back to back with no CTD after multiple crashes since Friday. I am not sure if there has been a fix but I’ve not changed anything in the sim. Apart from just setting the online server to North Europe rather than auto and turning off all online services saved the settings then turned them all back on again. Not sure any of these would of made any difference but it was nice to complete some flights after frustrating couple of days.
