Just to add: I had this problem before installing latest Win11 update. And afterwards also.
Therefore I will rule out this update

How about drivers guys? Anyone tried an older Nvidia driver to see if it still happens. Really wanting this to be fixed since it’s impossible fly with it, Asobo need to push a hotfix asap for us😅
I’m using an older driver, it’s 560.94 and it’s no difference.
Does anybody with an AMD card also see this stutter increase?

I have a RX 7900 XTX/9800X3D/64GB of RAM, it was a pleasure before this latest patch.
Even on a small airport (LFMT) there are massive stutters now.
Before the patch everything was great (4K Ultra, no VRAM problem (well, with 24GB that’s expected…), 50/60 FPS
Interestingly, stutter on LFMT is only on some area (first portion of RWY 30R and taxi ways around it then no more stutter when getting to the end) but don’t know why.

But I flew to many Airports without problems in the last days

Orlando
Las Vegas
Havana
All without problems. So the Airport that cause the stutters should have something in common
Yes also AMD Radeon here, same issue. It’s not Graphicscard related, and it is not windows 11 version related. They just broke something with that patch. Therefore it would be nice if we could get some OFFICIAL FEEDBACK over than just “bug logged”. We “beta testers” here have collected enough data in my opinion.
And to those also reporting lower FPS:
please pay attention to the original poster’s video showing what kind of stutter/low FPS we are talking about here.

That kind of Stutter I had yesterday for the first time after 30h of flying the Fenix. So either it’s specific Airports, the Servers or specific conditions that have to be present
Maybe we should make a list of Airports which Stutter
For me the first i discovered is
KCHS
i bought KCHS in the inibuilds Store (2020 Version) but that results in a CTD
I just tried going to the area where I have stutters and turning on Airplane mode. It did not help
Just landed at CYZD in career mode. The flight was smooth. As soon as I landed framerates dropped to 11 with about 1 second stutters.
Finished the mission and loaded the airport back in free flight. Framerates and stutters were still about the same.
Restarted MSFS 2024 and again loaded CYZD in free flight. Framerates more than doubled and there were no stutters.
Whatever the problem is it’s cleared by restarting the game. Unfortunately, that doesn’t help during a flight.
I had the stutters yesterday when arriving at KCHS. Loaded today multiple times into the Airport, every time Stutters.
So a simple reload does not the trick for me.
Maybe someone can check if their KCHS behaves the same
Same, a restart didn’t fix it. I restarted sim, computer, etc. and the same airport always has the problem. KDAY.
That is the exact same pattern I observe in the FPS window.

So it seems the CPU/GPU spikes are gone and back to normal? I do have an occasional spike/stutter but like nothing serious.
If you go back to my post (152), you can try to follow my steps and setting to see if it helps you…because it seems to have helped me right now.
I loaded up some flights, around 1330 EST to 1415EST, all seems normal for KLAX, KSFO, KDEN, CYYZ (with 3rd party addon)…so another try was I took out the CYYZ addon on from the community folder, loaded up KDEN, normal, BUT when loaded up with the default CYYZ, the spikes came back!..so there must be something with the default airports been streamed?
I wanted to add is that I have deleted DirectX Shader cache as well via the my computer, C:\ drive disk clean up.
I am using the latest AMD drivers, with Windows 11 update on the same day that the patch dropped. I thought about if the Win 11 update has anything to do with it…but I ruled that out…
So yeah, give those steps a try if interested.

yes… linked 2-3 times alredy … would be nice if someone could just drop that fix. but what happens is just nothing… silence … i cant enjoy the silence ^^

Lol I didn’t realize it was fixed already 4 days ago and just waiting for a patch. Just gotta avoid those problematic airports for the time being
