OK So I deleted my original post because I thought I knew what fixed it but msfs just crashed again.
Exactly the title. Throughout the last month and a half or so I’ve been experiencing constant crashes to desktop. These crashes tend to happen around the same point in the flight, on the climb somewhere between 20000-30000 ft. And I’ve tried nearly everything I could think of apart from reinstalling the sim. GPU drivers are up to date, pagefile is set correctly, ran with and without data streaming (originally assumed it was this), ran the sim with and without xmp enabled. And nothing seemed to work. I have no idea what else there is to try apart from a full reinstall. I do run the fbw a32nx mod but from what I’ve seen from other people it happens whether or not they have it installed. So I’m just very confused on where to go from here.
Have you removed this to see if you still get crashes. Also, there may be other CTD threads already in this section, some with up votes. Creating a duplicate hurts those votes.
This section is for MSFS default content only, no mods. If you get crashes after removing the mod, your post can stay - but see if it fits into an existing topic with votes. If you don’t know how to move your post, send a private message to @moderators with your request to move.
Well it was also happening in the cessna citation so I’m fairly certain it doesn’t have anything to do with the mod. Should’ve included that in the original post. Apologies.
Was the FBW Airbus still installed while using the Citation? You don’t need to be using a modded (is that word? ) aircraft, scenery, livery, etc. These mods override some of MSFS defaults.
Ok so I fixed it. I reinstalled the sim, reset the pagefile (was actually still set to auto) and turned off ai traffic. 5 full flights since then, no crashes and I’m holding above 30fps.
