Contextual mouse pointer in cockpit

I use the mouse to navigate cockpit controls while in VR mode. Seeing a microsoft windows mouse pointer breaks emersion. What would be better is if the mouse pointer models a semi transparent hand that disappears with inactivity.

As the mouse hovers over the contrl, depending on what kind of control it is, there clicking the mouse button would allow the user to grab the control in a manner that models real life. Left click toggle to grab, hold or release, right click to point, mouse wheel to turn knobs while grabbing.

As simple as it seems, it would make a world of difference.

Please give us the option to replace the mouse pointer with the pilots right hand with attached arm, so that it can add to the realism. I believe it would make for a much more immersive experience if the pilot was pressing controls, turning knobs, flicking switches instead of seeing a mouse pointer doing this.

Thank you

What if you’re left-handed, sitting in the co-pilot seat, or flying a helicopter?

I would expect the option to be dynamic enough for lefties too. I guess since the mouse is only a one handed device, you would have to choose which hand to go with. or could switch hand with the middle mouse button, or similar.
