ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Using (just) my Xbox controller it seems impossible to reach any UI in the Settings Control screen except the Devices List and Control Profiles selectors to the left side of the screen, or the Search text bar and the Search by Input button above the Categories/bindings central section. Anything in that central section seems inaccessible, as in the cursor/active control does not seem to want to enter that part of the screen. Effectively this makes it impossible to change (or even easily inspect!) control bindings! Also, the “(=) Hardware settings” button seems to react to the controller button, but in that screen also the left six buttons (showing joystick and trigger button axes) can be reached, but nothing else on the screen. This is all useless and totally unacceptable!

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

This has never worked since November 19 launch.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Start sim, enter Settings, use RB twice to get to Controls, nothing works except for device/control list selection and search (which shows matching bindings, but nothing can be selected/changed in the bindings shown in center of screen).

YOUR SETTINGS

Xbox Series X, standard Xbox controller, game (re)installed to internal memory, large 100 Gb rolling cache (even though I suspect this is all not relevant for GUI problems on Xbox)…

[END OF FIRST USER REPORT]

You have to scroll down the list and select the controller by pressing A, even though it already shows to be selected.

Once you do this, focus will be switched to the bindings and you can then scroll through them.

It’s totally unintuitive and very poor UI design.

I’ll have a go later, but that would be (just another one in a long list of examples of) terrible UI. Not only u intuitive, but clearly never tried/tested (“dogfooded”) by anyone other than on a dev PC with a mouse. Totally unacceptable… :man_facepalming:t3:
