Hey, guys. I believe this problem already exists for a long time (at least for me). After some update my keybindings started to work very strangely. For example: if you have something binded on “Arrow Up” key and “SHIFT + Arrow Up” key, when you will press “SHIFT + Arrow Up” both keybindings will be triggered. For example your camera will go up and forward at the same time.
Maybe this problem was already resolved and i missed something?
I’m having a lot of my bindings backwards and swapped around to other keys. Very frustrating to have to go back through all my devices to fix this. Yes, I have had the issue similar to what you’re reporting before but not right now. Only resolution was an eventual patch.
Hm. It’s very strange. Right now i have fresh installed sim. Also before installation i manually deleted AppData/Roamin/Microsoft Flight Simulator folder, but my old bindings somewhy still there. Maybe i should reset everything to default and see if problem will still occur.
They are kept in the cloud.
Bindings are all jacked up after UPDATE 5. A total mess. Anyone else experiencing this? I can’t get binding to work for Gear up Gear down on my Bravo Throttle Quadrant for one… other issues too (Bravo Bridge in community folder doesn’t seem to work now, etc.)
Multi key bindings have been janky as long as I can remember.
All the things that I use frequently I have made sure to have as single key only bindings (and also to make sure that any other functions that might use one of those keys in a combination are unmapped.)
Had a bunch of ctrl + 1, ctrl + 2 type bindings for a series of functions but was finding that I would also get whatever was simply mapped to 1 or 2 also triggering when using them.
SU5 Broke my toggle spoilers binding and nothing I do can fix it - it ignores the joystick and the keyboard keys for toggle spoilers even after I tried re-assigning them or do new keys.
So far, unlike others, my gear up, down, and flaps bindings are working fine.
I’ve only tried my spoiler mapping on the MB339 since SU5 and that was working fine.

but do buttons, switches and other toggles light up when you engage them? As in, when you are in “Controls” and are binding your Bravo Throttle and other devices, Is MSFS2020 showing that you are depressing a particular button or moving a landing gear for that particular binding when you are scanning and then assigning buttons and switches. All of mine and other peoples too are silent (do not go from greyed out to white interactively while you are depressing the control (bolded or lit up if you will). The sim is not recognizing it like it did before the update. The update broke the bindings …yes some things work but you can’t determine if the sim sees things without a ton of trial and error and some controls do not work at all and the “Loading” of the profiles alone takes forever cumuatively if you consider how much time you have to keep going in and out of the “Controls” section and pull up profiles…it’s like the sim is sitting there trying to find something during the “Loading” process and the circle loading spinner just keeps spinning. Asobo couldn’t have picked worse items to screw up because just to explain what’s happening feels like I’m having to write a book.
Thank you! I’m going crazy today with my Bravo. Why do they not highlight in the options menu? I though I would have to rebind them again. If I Search for the binding and press the key ( such as pitot heat) the sim freezes. Never happened before. Spent the whole day trying to figure this out.
Yes it is a nasty bug in the controller system since SU5, all of a sudden commands stop working, or you get double commands, or in the worst case scenario CTD.
I am not sure my problem with control bindings is the same as discussed above. But if anyone has the same thing or even a fix, let me know. Here goes. After SU5 several alternative devices showed up (default, other names, etc.) with my joystick and throttle controls. The sim Options that allow one to bind do not appear even when looking at All, Essentials, Assigned. What I do see is the top title for a type of binding (e.g., brakes, camera, etc.) but those titles won’t open to let me see the details or to add or change them. They are locked. Yet, the basic controls that I had assigned, still work. And, since I want to fly and not mess with software I don’t understand, I haven’t figured out what to do to fix this problem. Any ideas?
