Hello
I don’t know if this is what it refers to.
If not, we will look for another solution.
From what I know, its not stored locally. I once moved to a new computer complete with full MSFS reinstall and all my keybindings were still there.
I understand that there is also a local copy as explained here:
It’d be great to have a native way to back these up from within the sim, but in the interim I wonder of some clever developer could make a lightweight utility to manage and back up control profiles. I’d try to be that clever developer but I don’t know C++.
Edit to add that managing them would be my main motivation more than backing them up, but I have heard of some users having their cloud profiles wiped, or seemingly wiped, so a second non-cloud backup wouldn’t be a terrible idea (assuming aforementioned cases weren’t user error.)
That functionality has been requested:
Yea. I’ve had to delete my cloud save profile several times due to the pop-out windows getting lost and unrecoverable (home cockpit complex multi-monitor setup) - due to monitor config changes, or other random changes or updates. It would be great if I had a way to save control setting somewhere so I could reload them from a file.
Yes, the “wgs” folder contains the local copy of controller configurations, and your logbook. There are many other files in there as well that I can’t readily identify.
