Hi,
I know this is an older thread but I found it searching for gyrocopters in ms2024. I am just at the beginning of training for PPL(G) and looking to use this for some experience, muscle memory etc. Would somebody be willing to detail their setup for me, controllers etc and any gotchas i need to watch out for? Also i’m assuming this mod is PC only?

great to see others interested in the very same topic. I’ve run through these questions already and can give you some conclusion. I’d advice against the goal to gain flight experience or muscle memory. Even if you’d make the perfect controller setup, the flight simulator model is very different from reality. However, I can recommend it as a perfect tool to train the procedures, training VFR navigation, get a feeling for marginal VMC, using radio by joining VATSIM, etc.
My controller setup is a Moza AB9 with MH16 stick. There are guides for how to extend the shaft. M-24 has special stick design, means stick is not centered above base. I’ve tried that setup with single stick, it didn’t work out well, you’d have to add also the co-pilot stick to balance the weight, but if more weight is added that impacts the FFB capability. The stick as a pinky stick/button which you can bind to control the pre-rotator.
For training it is important that you place the throttle and brakes at the same position as in reality. Only custom controller setup can achive that. I’ve used Mobiflight in the past and can highly recommend it. Essentially you can make your full custom cockpit with it.
A great feature MSFS 2024 adds is that you can pop out the engine panel. Simply buy some small HDMI panel and add it to the custom cockpit…
