Yes, I bought the Steam version on day one (Premium Deluxe) and since the beta is not available on Steam, I bought a Game Pass 3 days ago and installed a MS Store Standard version of MSFS as well. They live together peacefully since they do not share any folder (not even the community folder).
Now, the vibration works and has always worked on the stable versions, but doesn’t work in the hotfix beta version. I didn’t think about trying the SU7 stable MS Store version, I jumped into the beta immediately, so I don’t know if that’s part of the problem… what I’m sure of, is that on the current beta hotfix version, the vibration does not work.
Okay that makes sense. For me, I have only the MS store release version no beta, my Xbox controller vibrations haven’t worked since SU5 and what I heard I’m not the only one.
I’ve never felt controller vibration except when I was looking away from in front of me using free look. I used to get it when I stalled and oversped as well. It seemed to only in “warning” situations vs vibrating in reponse to physical events in the sim.
It could be because I don’t have plane controls on my Xbox controller. I have it attached to my yoke and used the sticks to only use it to look around and control my drone view.
It works and has always been working on Steam, including beta hotfix 1.21.18.0.
It doesn’t work on the MS Store version.
Now I am only using the Steam version.
I guess that is true although buttkicker seem to be able to create similar / better type of vibration with sound and an interface program.
Kind of a pain to try to carry it around with your laptop though.
