Hi,
I have a strange issue (or maybe it is expected behavior) where all controls are disabled until I move my mouse cursor away from the ATC box on screen below the map.
Is this expected behavior, a bug or something I can change?

I use VFR Map and ATC on another separate screen… And it’s the same thing there. It sometimes happens that you forget the mouse on them…and then it doesn’t work to control the plane…

Thank you for confirming it isn’t just me. I’d say it might be a bug.
I have had the same since the fall of 2022. when I bought the software and installed it.

My MSFS2020 has been installed since the release and i never had this issue. But the last month (no updates or purchases) it has started freezing the controls when the pointer is in the ATC box, AND after i move it out the, controls stay frozen for up to a full minute or more. Its VERY annoying when landing and beginning to taxi, so I just give up and restart. I am thinking about doing a fresh install hoping to get rid of the issue.

Let me make sure i understand your comment. So, you’re saying that from day one your MSFS2020 freezes all your controls when your mouse pointer is in the ATC box? And when you move the pointer out of the box the controls stay frozen for at least 1 minute? I have learned to be in straight/level flight when using ATC but after landing it is near impossible to taxi to a parking spot because when mine freezes the plane continues doing what it was before responding to ATC, i.e. if i am going straight, it will continue going straight or if i am turning it will continue to turn in circles until it unfreezes or it wrecks on the taxiway. To better explain my situation: my controls freeze but the game continues. When it first started freezing, I crashed numerous times because the plane could not be controlled. I have tried using ESC to get out and back in the game but the plane continues out of control. Mine has never did that until recently and that is why i mentioned i am thinking of doing a full re-install.
My problem is nothing like that. I simply have my mouse wheel set to zoom in and out and the mouse to freelook with the right button pressed. None of this works when the pointer is inside an open window. But all other controls work fine and functionality resumes as soon as I move the pointer or close the window.
