The T6/Harvard is a well known training aircraft.
Deleting the added roll bar and adding a pilot in the rear seat would make it an ideal training aircraft once again.
We can only hope A2A will pick up the torch and do a proper T-6. The Asobo model is an abortion. One cannot even open the canopy.
Unfortunately I have to agree with you. Asobo seem to be going for the lowest common denominator when it comes to aircraft design. Disappointing.

In the meantime have a look at the NORD3202 model in Flightsim.to
It has a canopy which looks very much like the Harvard but actually opens!! for both the trainee and the rear pilot.
Fully accessible rear cockpit with fully functional instrumentation.
