Is there a way to copy or save the settings? I am going to move to a new (MS) account but I would like to keep my current graphics and control profile settings
I want to know this also just more so for a backup really
You’ll have to buy the game again then because it’s locked to your MS account, not to your computer.
That’s not the issue here (gamepass), but I don’t really like setting all up again. And for backup purposes it is good to have a copy of the settings somewhere
Your controller settings are saved in the cloud associated with your current account. A new account means you have to set it all back up again unfortunately.
There’s a cfg file buried AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator (UserCfg.opt) that holds your graphics settings though.

Thanks. Couldn’t find the file in the roaming folder, but found one in the localcache folder.
I’ll make screenshots of the rest of the settings. Hopefully that’ll do it.

Yeah, I have the Steam version. The MS Store / Gamepass version is in a totally different location. Sorry I couldn’t be of more use there. But the one you found likely was the right file in its default location for your version of the sim.
