The only complaint I have with this plane is that it’s being thrown around too violently in winds and turbulence. I would assume it should be a bit more stable in turbulence.

Just doing a little happy cry. After many years we finally have a Diamond worthy of the sim.
I have tried so hard (and failed) to love the DA62 even with your mod.
But here you have managed to combine all of my favourite bits from the DA62 & 310R.
The visibility, the controls, the circuit breakers, engine wear & sounds.
Love the fact that the included manual is 2 pages with the rest being a link to the real POH. I’ve mainly been using this as reference and this absolutely flies by the book.
I had a DA42 YouTube video on in the background and I honestly couldn’t tell which sound was coming from YouTube and which from the plane it is THAT GOOD.
I really hope this does well for you and anyone on the fence ends up getting it. Not just because of the DA42 but also for all the free work you’ve put in to the sim up to this point.

I am really on this fence on this one. I love Diamonds. I have read low FPS… I have read bad VR camera angles… and a few other issues…

VR is great, and I have no issues with frames, on I9 RTX 3080TI. I really like it, and have only flown it since getting it. Very cool plane.
It is pricy but totally worth it, For me it flies like a dream with actual flight model close to real thing (I have flown DA42 NG IRL before for my Multiengine instrument rating).
If you have have DA62 improvement mod - You will find that DA42 performs even better then that aeroplane.
Performance on my machine is great with no lags or FPS issue

Does the DA42 come with icing modelled ie ice on wings / cockpit etc
I would love to get this but don’t want yet another store account/software to deal with. Will it release on any other stores? Was it submitted to the marketplace yet?

Yes, but quality costs. Highly recommended plane with lots of features you won’t find very often.
Having another password to keep up with isn’t that much, but the only thing that most people balk at is having to download the app to download and update packages. But honestly, it just makes things easier. The app has a small footprint on your PC and is never obtrusive. Package updates are easy - just launch the app. You’ll be notified if there are updates available.

The passwords thing doesn’t bother me - Google Password Manager handles all that quite nicely. It’s really the fragmentation of having so many different download managers that bugs me, the same way having a separate patient portal for every doctor, hospital, and pharmacy, and lab I use bugs me.
Give me ‘One Ring to Rule Them All,’ i.e. a centralized portal app that keeps track of all my ‘stuff,’ whether that stuff is my 3rd Party addon purchases and product updates, or my medical history and upcoming appointments.
Or, in the case of the sim, just let me download 3rd Party ZIP files and install them myself. I’ll visit the websites periodically to check for updates. And if I don’t? So what. It’s my problem if I don’t have the latest update.
SimMarket is pretty intrusive. It launches when I login to Windows, and sits on my desktop. Easier than checking my email for notifications, but it bugs me nonetheless.

I’m sure it’s fine I just already have sim market and don’t really like the idea of having to download a bunch more of these programs.but if they say this is only on Orbx with no other way to get it I’ll have to consider it.
It will make it to the Marketplace eventually. Orbx Central is a tiny piece of software which only runs when you tell it to, checks for updates and then you can close it again. I forget I have it most of the time.
You can change that in the App settings.

Yes, this aircraft is not cheap. But it is very well done in every aspect and worth the money!
Given the hours I’ve already spent flying it, I’d say it was actually amazing value for money.
